(1) Glass cloth Glass cloth produced in China is divided into alkali free and medium alkali glass cloth, and most of them are alkali free glass cloth abroad. Glass cloth is mainly used to produce various electrical insulating laminates, printed circuit boards, vehicle bodies, storage tanks, boats, molds, etc. The medium alkali glass cloth is mainly used in the production of plastic coated packaging cloth and corrosion resistant occasions. The characteristics of fabric are determined by fiber properties, warp and weft density, yarn structure and weave pattern. The warp and weft density is determined by the yarn structure and weave pattern. The combination of warp and weft and yarn structure determines the physical properties of the fabric, such as weight, thickness and breaking strength. There are five basic weaves: plain, twill, satin, rib and mat.

(2) Glass ribbon Glass ribbon is divided into webbed ribbon and non webbed ribbon (rough ribbon). The main weaving method is plain weave. Glass tape is often used to manufacture electrical equipment parts with high strength and good dielectric property.

(3) One way fabric One way fabric is a kind of four warp broken satin or long axis satin fabric woven with coarse warp yarn and fine weft yarn. It is characterized by high strength in the main warp direction.
(4) The three-dimensional fabric is relative to the planar fabric. Its structural characteristics have developed from one-dimensional and two-dimensional to three-dimensional, so that the composite with this reinforcement has good integrity and profiling, greatly improving the interlaminar shear strength and damage tolerance of the composite. It is developed with the special needs of aerospace, aviation, weapons, ships and other departments. Today, its application has been expanded to automobile, sports equipment, medical equipment and other departments. There are five main categories: woven three-dimensional fabric, knitted three-dimensional fabric, orthogonal and non orthogonal three-dimensional nonwoven fabric, three-dimensional woven fabric and other forms of three-dimensional fabric. The shapes of three-dimensional fabrics include blocky, columnar, tubular, hollow frustum and variable thickness profiled sections.
(5) Shaped fabric The shape of the profiled fabric is very similar to the shape of the product it is intended to strengthen, so it must be woven on a special loom. Symmetrical shaped fabrics include round covers, cones, hats, dumbbell shaped fabrics, etc. They can also be made into boxes, hulls and other asymmetric shapes.
(6) Grooved core fabric Grooved core fabric is a fabric composed of two parallel layers connected by longitudinal vertical strips. Its cross section can be triangular or rectangular.
(7) Glass fiber sewn fabric is also called knitted felt or woven felt, which is different from ordinary fabrics and felt in general sense. The most typical stitch knitted fabric is that a layer of warp and a layer of weft are overlapped, and the warp and weft are knitted together to form a fabric through stitch knitting. The advantages of stitch knitted fabric are as follows: ① It can increase the ultimate tensile strength, delamination strength under tension and bending strength of FRP laminated products; ② Reduce the weight of FRP products; ③ The surface is flat to make the glass fiber reinforced plastic surface smooth; ④ Simplify hand lay up operation and improve labor productivity. This reinforcing material can replace continuous strand mat in pultruded FRP and RTM, and can also replace checkered cloth in centrifugal FRP pipe production.
